Bakey Ustl - Avoiding The Dull Lights

by SOUNDFELLAS | 0 comentarios

Hot new talent Bakey Ustl from Estonia, currently residing in Amsterdam, made some moves during 2010 with his debut 10" on the Firecracker sub label Unthank with rough house cuts, raw sampling and beat weirdness. This time he delivers this twisted deep grower. You might have to listen to this some times before getting really comfortable with the track, but once you get there you're gonna love it.

Donnie, undoubtedly one of my favorite neo soul singers, their songs arealways full of impeccable quality, where the content of each letter, falls short of execution as shown in this cloud 9 lp the colored section, if I had to put a stick to this great singer is not to release lp's, s more often asI'd like, remix dj s as Karizma, Spinna, Quentin Harris ... spreadingbring quality to the dance lovers of good house.

Grew clearly influenced by the music that their parents put in the house at all times of the day, especially on weekends where the festivities on Saturday in the 70's and early 80's, were famous throughout the neighborhood, including music sounded funk, disco, soul, jazz and especially those afromakossa.by then learned the operation of the turntable  and loved to see people's reaction to the music that he himself had chosen.

As a DJ was born in the early 90's, betting from the beginning by the musical quality hits fleeing easy, but never giving up the track and good taste, at first he intended to play hip hop, he soon realized that Madrid was not ready for this, since only public had much less room to do so, so I opted for the house, the sound of that fell in love at the end of the 80's, with tracks from  Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster, Marshall Jefershon , D- Mob ... etc, who arrived in the capital with the wave of acid house of  moment.Ya resurfaced in the 90's house sound, but a fresh start, was when he finally opted for this musical style DJing, mainly because it merged jazz, latin, soul, afro ... and a lot of styles that has always been very deep.

His passion for music led him to be versatile and although I usually click is soulful house, makes meetings of other styles where you can listen to r & b, neosoul, broken beat, latin, rap, nu jazz ... always making compilations most elegant of each gender. Since its inception in playing in the best clubs in the capital, now regarded as cradles of house sound Bali Hai Consoul, Ras, Alien club, Stella, Long play, shop Buggin, fuencarral Market, Flamingo, Museo Chicote, Café la Palm, Goldfield, Palma 3, Sundance, Stromboli, Underwood coffee club ... The minstrel. In legendary venues such as Vog (birthplace of the jet in the early 90) ku Madrid, fiestas Aticca, OH, Serrano 41, Evening, Cyberia, ... or at major festivals such as Sonar or others in the south of Spain. In recent years been resident in the Black Widow and the moral Madrid (where he was wanted by the locals for countless private parties), Gin Club, Shoko, Hotel Puerta America, (which has collaborated closely by sessions for musical thread throughout the complex and where it was required for the most exclusive parties.) He has done sessions for events such as Hugos Boss, Levi, s, car fair, Corte Ingles, Red Bull X fighters vip party, Springfield, Millesime (gourmet fair), Man of the Year, Miss Spain 2009, Moss stores ( of which has been requested several times to make his international background music) ... Currently working in radio as: Circle Radio, Radio 3, or Loca FM where he made the most varied sessions, has bi-monthly residency in The Minstrel Club, where his sets full of energy, make the public do not stop dancing throughout the session.

Roman Rauch is in the game for years. Collecting records since the early 90s – Quincy Jones, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, A Tribe called Quest, De la Soul, Theo Parrish... No matter the style or genre - It’s all about those big tunes. Through his passion for music Roman became a disc jockey and part of the Clean Scene Cuts Dj collective in 1998. Since then he is spinning records all around europe. From Vienna to Barcelona, Zagreb to Munich – Mr. Rauch is responsible for the crowded dancefloor. But Roman is a great producer as well, currently signed to the mighty Philpot label.....Deep House, Hip Hop, Broken Beat - the only thing thats for sure is that a Roman Rauch production gots to be deep and dirty. Not enough – Roman is involved in numerous projects: Together with Sam Irl (Fresh Minute) and Josef Eisl (RBMA) they form Generell Deep. Under this name they do a monthly radioshow, produce tracks and host occasional parties. Check out their Whistle Bump Boogie track including some extraordinary Dorian Concept Remix. On the beats side he’s also producing beats for the mysterious Weedgeterian, of whom some people claim it’s even himself. And of course Roman likes to collaborate. He worked with Kid Sublime (Kindred Spirits, Jahwell), Philta (4Lux), Makula (Eklektik), Dorian Concept (Kindred Spirits), Duktus (Tokyo Dawn), Blunted Monkz (Faces), PowLee (Urban Legends) and Bartellow, with whom he’s just working on another exciting project. Recognized by the likes of Jay Scarlett, Rainer Trüby and Alan Brown, just to name a few – I’m sure that this brand new talent will continue to bring on nothing but the heat straight outta Vienna.

Makossa & Megablast

by SOUNDFELLAS | 0 comentarios

Anything that comes from Kruder & Dorfmeister´s G-Stone label usually carries a certain seal of quality, and it´s really up to Makossa & Megablast to keep that flame alive on their debut album. This Austrian duo delivers here a 13-track collection of rich, dubby grooves, propelled by fizzing electro keys, African vocals and percussion. The recent single, Kunuaka, is a real highlight; beautifully put together, with dub-inspired, sonically-inducing world grooves and earthy electro-keys - Subrinah´s deadpan rap sits effortlessly atop what is a delightful mix. Tracks such as Porque, with impassive vocals from Cleydys Villalon, have an almost nostalgic, old-skool dub feel - there´s no doubt that Makossa & Megablast are production masters; they way they merge smoky, spiritual grooves with a contemporary electro spike is highly impressive - the sound is so clear, with everything beautifully balanced in the mix. As mentioned earlier, this is what you almost come to expect from a quality label such as G-Stone. Elsewhere, the light, spacey keys of Rip It Up, enhanced by Ras T-Weed´s luxurious reggae-inspired vocals effortlessly combine the best of Jamaican dub with the futurism of modern downtempo dub, whilst the track, Get It On, featuring heady vocals from Kool Keith, is almost trance-inspired hip hop; think Erik B & Rakim wistfully orbiting the earth, rapping through a space walk.

You. Me. World / Original Mix and Ralf Gum Go Go Music Vocal

by SOUNDFELLAS | 0 comentarios

You. Me. World was written by Monique Bingham along side with house master Dennis Ferrer. Ralf Gum also gives a little funky push so this tune can have a little more on brightness since original is a little jazzy and deeper. Anyways whole EP is must-have and for sure check it out!
